It’s a new year and already time to head back out to my favorite place on Earth, Dumont Dunes! Much of our normal crew could not make it this trip so we had just 5 buggies. As much as I love having a ton of friends and their cars join in on dune trips, I also enjoy chill trips like this with a small group. It gives me more time to really take in the dunes. On this trip, I turned my boost back up.

Closing Out the Dumont Season Properly

I rolled into Dumont Friday afternoon and it was 95° on my truck thermometer. I was a little worried it was going to be scorching this weekend, but it was cleanup and we were all locked in and going regardless. I was very surprised how nice it was though. Chill Weekend at Dumont Dunes

Thursday night we headed out to Dumont for a nice quiet weekend in the sand. When we pulled in the river was flowing really fast but it was easily passable. There were only like two other camps out there besides us. With no moon, it pitch black out and the sky was lit with tons of stars. It was so dark you could even see the glow of Baker. Friday morning I woke up as the sun was coming up.
