Crafts N Cranks: An Epic Weekend of MTB at Snow Summit

Snow Summit Bike Park, located in Big Bear, CA, is one of our favorite places to escape the summer heat and ride downhill mountain biking. Their annual Crafts N Cranks event is a must-do event for us because it involves three things we absolutely love: beer, bikes, and music. We escaped the Vegas heat Friday night and set out for Big Bear as the wildfire, smoke-filled skies engulfed the sun.

Mountain Biking Trestle Bike Park, Colorado

Trestle Bike Park is situated right in the middle of Winter Park. It’s my favorite bike park to date. After a big breakfast, which of course proved to be a stupid idea, we hit the chair lift to the top of the mountain. Our plan was to stick to the green trails since Anna was pretty much brand new to downhill MTB. I needed an easy warm up anyways before tackling anything more difficult.

Mountain Biking Canyonlands National Park

To break up the long drive to Denver while on our 10 Day Epic Road Trip, we stopped in Moab, UT to do some mountain biking and spend the night. We checked in to our motel, The Virginian, and set off to find some easy trails to ride. It was in the 90’s so we weren’t looking for anything too difficult. Luckily the MTB Project app was very useful for finding the trail we were after.
